Emergency First Aid (One day)
The course aims to teach delegates basic aspects of dealing with emergencies, with an emphasis on handling 'life threatening' situations in the workplace. This course is also known as the 'appointed persons' first aid course.
The course looks at a broad range of areas with an underlying emphasis on basic life support, the importance of preventing cross-infection, the need for recording incidents and actions and use of available equipment.
Candidates will learn how to assess the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency whilst administering first aid to a casualty who is:

The course aims to train employees up to the Health and Safety Executive approved standard for the purpose of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
